CANDID Interview: Lori Coulter
Lori Coulter is Co-founder and CEO/President of Summersalt, the disruptive swim, and travelwear brand. Though travel is down and many remain at home, Lori and her team are serving up a dose of sunshine and happiness via their Joycast platform, as well as cozy-comfy loungewear and sleepwear for many parts of your day.

What are you doing to keep your kids engaged throughout the day, while you're all at home, and how are you approaching your work?
My boys are keeping up with school via Zoom, and thankfully their teachers do an excellent job at keeping them engaged and on task. Our family has gotten into a routine of work and school, which helps so much during this time. For a break (or I guess P.E. class), my boys love to get outside to shoot some hoops and play catch. Although the current situation is difficult, we are all enjoying more time together!
How are you lifting your spirits and keeping sane in the midst of this new normal?
One of my favorite things to do is work in our yard and garden. We have been planting and preparing our backyard to soak in this beautiful weather, and with the extra love, our yard has never looked better! I am also very thankful for my favorite local restaurants that offer curbside pick up: Katie's Pizza and Pasta, Farmhaus Restaurant and their Blue Plate Special, Louie's, and Marcoot Jersey Creamery (my favorite local farm on the Illinois side). Marcoot's amazing meats, cheeses, honey, and ice cream are a must-have in our home.
How are you staying connected with your loved one during social-distancing?
We are thankful to be able to stay connected to family members by connecting daily over the phone, with the occasional FaceTime call (especially with my 2-year-old nephew.)
What is your ultimate S@H garment that's giving you coupled confidence and comfort?
My Throw & Go Duster is my ultimate S@H garment. I can throw it on over a t-shirt and be pulled together and ready to go for my next Zoom meeting!
How are you reinventing your Mother's Day this year?

As Mother’s Day approaches I’ve thought a lot about the importance of shining a light on all moms, particularly in the midst of this unprecedented new normal. The world is changing, but honoring and celebrating mom remains intact. Mother’s come in many forms; some gave birth to us, some just became a new mom, some adopted us, some are grandmothers, some enter our lives later in life, some are a best friend, and some found us in times of need and invited us into their lives.
