The Power Of Your Clothing Choices: Define Your Style & Display Your Dynamism
VIRTUAL WORKSHOP | APRIL 20, 2021 @ 6PM - 7PM CST
We're all unique, and yet we all wear clothes. As such, our chosen style of dress is a metaphorical second skin. The blossoming field of Applied Psychology of Fashion is demonstrating through research the power of using our clothing as a tool in presenting our most authentic selves to the world. Fostering a purposeful wardrobe that authentically reflects your personality and endorses your lifestyle can build your confidence and domino into many other areas of your life. In this interactive session, we will identify and unpack the research behind enclothed cognition and how what you wear impacts your opinion of yourself.

About the Speaker
Thought leader and personal style expert Laura K. Sawyier consults with individuals, retail brands, as well as for-profit and non-profit institutions. Using her knowledge of the Applied Psychology of Fashion, she helps people develop the skills necessary to use their chosen style of dress to foster a healthy level of self-regard around the way in which they present themselves externally and feel about themselves internally.
Her workshops, seminars, and speeches bring to light the tenants of fashion psychology, identifying dynamic style, maintaining an intentional and effective wardrobe on a budget, managing first impressions, and dressing for our active lifestyles while living up to individual potential and goals.
Sawyier’s philosophy is simple: Style is personal. Clothes are your second skin. When you learn how to identify your style and curate your clothes, you will have developed a superpower. For you will now step out into the world standing tall in your true, authentic self.
