Something Sporty: A High-Demand Sneaker for Everyone

Are you a sneakerhead? I’m definitely not. Or, at least I didn’t think I was until I gave credit to my longtime love affair with New Balance.

I didn’t connect the dots at first, but after constantly revisiting sites with this futuristic “327” style, I realized that I’ve been drawn to their retro trainers for the past two decades. I’m not talking about the uber fashion-forward streetwear styles across brands with more rubber than my car tires, instead, a more pared-down style that I will actually wear. I started wearing New Balance as a kid for the sole purpose of easy, comfortable footwear (selected by a parent). This turned into an affinity for the brand, unbeknownst to me, into my adolescence and up to this moment.

The latest coveted style is the New Balance 327 trainer - and they’re starting to sell out fast (to no surprise here). I pulled together a shortlist of styles across the internet that seem to have availability - as I write this - in men’s, women’s, and unisex sizing. You should take your normal shoe size. Note that these are wide in the toe box, a design feature, so for anyone with narrow feet, lace-up tighter. All styles below are from trusted retailers I’ve personally purchased from with valid returns policies.
